Ageing Facilities: Planning for Renewal

Existing facilities have served the community faithfully for many years. This update explains why renewal is needed and how planning is focused on safety, accessibility, and mission-aligned outcomes.

Many current buildings and support spaces were not designed for contemporary safety, accessibility, or service needs. As the community grows, these constraints affect how effectively ministry, education, and pastoral outreach can be delivered.

Renewal with Purpose

The project seeks to renew infrastructure thoughtfully, balancing heritage considerations with practical improvements. This includes better accessibility pathways, safer facilities, and flexible spaces that can support parish and community use.

Planning Before Construction

No final designs have been approved. Current work remains in consultation and planning phases so that future investment reflects genuine local priorities, long-term stewardship, and the mission of the Diocese.

Why Renewal Matters

  • Improve safety and functionality for all precinct users.
  • Strengthen accessibility and inclusion across the site.
  • Prepare infrastructure to support future generations.
